GPI Managing a New Automotive High Volume Project

January 14, 2016:  Global Precision Industries has completed the final stages of PPAP approval for a new automotive, high volume project and will be starting production in Spring 2016.  Over the past year, GPI has worked on purchasing new capital equipment, developing new processes, validating raw material sources & outside subcontractors, in order to manage an entire project for their automotive OEM customer.

GPI will be performing the final CNC machining at their newly renovated facility on Millstead Way, in Rochester NY. GPI will also be responsible for ensuring the raw material and outsourced operations are within the specifications agreed upon during PPAP approval.  GPI has successfully proved capability of 6.24 Ppk on final boring the internal diameter, with an allowable tolerance of  .0007″.
