2016 Sales Exceed Expectations at GPI

December 20, 2016 – Global Precision Industries (GPI) is pleased to announce that they have exceeded their sales goal for 2016, by increasing 22% from 2015.  The original goal for 2016 was to increase sales by 12%, which GPI almost doubled.  This year, GPI has added 4 new customers, while launching multiple new programs, ranging from power train and engine components for Subaru along with Ford F-150.  Diversification goals were also exceeded, by adding new customers in the rail, industrial and medical equipment industries.

This year, GPI also implemented a new weekly 5S program, which was targeted to increase efficiency and reduce waste throughout the entire company.   By monitoring the 5S program, GPI has seen an increase in overall organization and cleanliness, which has transpired into reduced scrap rates and enhanced performance.  By rotating every employee and assigning new weekly tasks, the entire organization is able to get fresh ideas on a regular basis.

New equipment additions this year include CNC machines in the lathe and large horizontal departments.  Over the past 2 years, GPI has added 7 CNC machines to their facility on Millstead Way.  GPI is utilizing 85% of the equipment on A-shift and 60% for both B & C-shifts, with plenty of room for expansion.  GPI has created over 15 full time jobs this year, spread over 3 shifts.

For 2017, GPI is already forecasting another 20% growth in overall sales, adding more full-time jobs, and planning on purchasing at least 3 more CNC machines.  GPI would like to thank all of their customers for a great year and looking forward to the shared growth in 2017!
